Ketoxone is a rapidly dissolving bolus that can be administered before postpartum and at the onset of colostrum. Ketoxone is advised for cows at risk of ketosis, particularly for those with a high Body Condition Score (excessive fat cows BCS ≥ 3.5) and a low appetite. For dairy cows, it can be applied between 3 weeks before calving and 6 weeks after calving. A total of 4 boluses are administered, 2 boluses at 12-hour intervals before calving, and 2 boluses at 12-hour intervals after calving, a total of 4 boluses.
STEP 1Insert the Stomach Ball into the applicator, its rounded end is forward.
STEP 2Place the applicator in the animal's mouth and slide it over the tongue until it stops.
STEP 3Release the stomach ball by pressing the arms of the applicator. (Do not close the animal's respiratory system and do not hold its tongue.)
